First Aid for Playground Staff Level 2 (VTQ)
This course is a practical, straightforward introduction to first aid for staff supervising children during break times, lunchtimes, clubs, and playground activities. It is ideal for people who may be first on scene and need to take immediate action while a designated first aider is contacted or arrives. The emphasis is on confident decision-making, rapid assessment, and the core life-saving steps most relevant in school and playground environments.
You will learn basic life support skills and paediatric-focused approaches, including child and infant CPR, safe use of a defibrillator, and choking management. The course also addresses the common worries people have about providing first aid, how to ask permission to help when appropriate, and how to keep yourself and others safe while responding to an incident.
Delivery: Held at our premises in Whittlesey.
