Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)
This qualification is designed for those who need to act as a paediatric first aider, supporting the welfare of infants and children in childcare or early years settings. It focuses on the emergency actions most likely to be required, providing structured routines for assessment and immediate care in time-critical situations.
Learners develop practical competence in infant and child CPR, dealing with an unresponsive child, choking, and responding to common childhood emergencies. Training is hands-on and scenario-based, supporting confident and safe decisions. The course is particularly suitable where staff require formal evidence of paediatric first aid capability.
This qualification is recognised by UCAS, which means you can claim 8 tariff points for successfully completing this training and that will contribute to your UCAS application if you are applying for a course with one of Britain’s universities
